LEAP. LAND. WALK.

For consequential decisions

You're Facing a Big Decision. Let's Get Clear About What Comes Next.

A private 90-minute session that helps leaders pressure-test a consequential decision, anticipate what follows, and leave with a clearer next move.

You don't need someone to tell you to “just take the leap.” You need a disciplined way to think through the decision, prepare for what happens next, and determine the right move for you.

LEAP. → LAND. → WALK.
Decision → Reality → Transformation

The problem

The Decision Isn't the Hardest Part.

You may already know something needs to change.

Am I making the right move?
What am I not seeing?
What will this decision actually cost me?
What happens if things don't go according to plan?
And what if I do nothing?

When you've built a career, business, reputation, family, or life with real responsibilities, consequential decisions aren't made in a vacuum. Eventually, more information doesn't necessarily produce more clarity.

That's where Leap. Land. Walk. begins.

The framework

Every Consequential Transition Has Three Stages.

LEAP. — THE DECISION

Understand what you're moving toward, what's driving the decision, what you're leaving behind, and the cost of acting — or doing nothing.

Clarity before commitment.

LAND. — WHERE EXPECTATIONS MEET REALITY

Pressure-test what happens when the vision meets reality. Consider the financial, professional, relational, operational, and personal consequences before they arrive.

Prepare before reality tests the decision.

WALK. — WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

Determine how you'll execute, what will sustain you, when to persist, when to pivot, and what you'll need to become capable of carrying.

Build for the journey, not merely the decision.

“The leap of faith is much easier than the walk of faith.”

The leap changes your direction.
The landing changes your expectations.
The walk changes you.

— James E. Dixon

Outcomes

What Could 90 Minutes Change?

SEE THE DECISION DIFFERENTLY

Identify assumptions and blind spots that are difficult to recognize when you're standing inside the situation.

UNDERSTAND THE LANDING

Consider second-order consequences before committing your money, career, reputation, relationships, or time.

KNOW YOUR NEXT MOVE

Leave with specific priorities rather than another collection of ideas competing for your attention.

You may decide to leap. You may decide not to. You may discover you're asking the wrong question entirely. All three can represent clarity.

  • Considering leaving a successful career.
  • Deciding whether to start, buy, sell, or restructure a business.
  • Navigating an unexpected professional transition.
  • Rebuilding after a significant setback.

  • Successful on paper but increasingly convinced your next chapter needs to look different.

Why James

I've Been on Both Sides of the Decision.

James E. Dixon brings nearly four decades of leadership experience across financial services, operational turnarounds, healthcare consulting, organizational change, and entrepreneurship.

His perspective was not formed only in executive offices and boardrooms. It was shaped by making consequential decisions himself—and by living with those decisions after the initial confidence and excitement had passed.

Making the decision and living the decision are two very different things.

FAQ

Questions Before You Apply

Is this coaching?

Not in the traditional sense. This is a focused strategic engagement built around one consequential decision.

Will you tell me what decision to make?

No. My role is to help you examine the decision more rigorously, expose assumptions, consider consequences, and identify next steps. You remain responsible for the decision.

Is Leap. Land. Walk. faith-based?

The philosophy grew partly from my own experiences with faith and uncertainty, but the framework is designed to help thoughtful people make consequential decisions regardless of religious background.
